I read a lot of nerdy science articles and one of my favorite topics is this gene editing software called CRISPR. It allows you to 'hack' genes like you would software. Pairwise takes our current fruit and vegetables, looks at their DNA and then improves it by mixing in attributes from the natural versions of the plants. Who needs pesticides when you can design the plant to be pest resistant? Want blackberries without seeds? How about Kale that tastes like cotton candy (ok I made that one up, but consider it a request, ok guys?).
